Pictures emerged of actress and programme hostess - Nirosha Perera attired in traditional bridal attire has triggered a rumour mill frenzy.
Most of her fans were left flabbergasted with the pictures, especially because of the groom who is Japanese and apparently much older than Nirosha.However, it is not in real life. The wedding at the Grand Oriental Hotel in Colombo was actually a photo shoot for a film 'Kandak Sema' directed by Ashoka Athaudahetti.
In the film, Nirosha plays the role of a Sri Lankan girl who leaves her motherland after getting married to a Japanese national.
The script is by Sumithra Rahubadda.
The film also features Ayako Kobayashi, who became popular for performing the role of 'Oshin' while she was a child.
